I mostly stopped making traditional quilts a few years ago (after 30 years), though I do still make lap quilts for friends. I joined the textile arts and mixed-media movement and couldn't be happier. Welcome to the world beyond the grid!

There are a lot more resources out there than there were just a few years ago. Quilt University has many classes for techniques and design processes, Quilting Arts magazine and Cloth Paper Scissors magazine both have great groups (and magazines), and there are some really talented artists with blogs that share a wealth of information. Give a yell if you need help finding any of those or others.
