These are all things I have and use at my frame.
I don't have a frame quilting system yet, but I use a piece of glass/plexiglass and dry erase markers. I place the glass over the block or area I want to quilt and practice a quilting pattern and erase and practice until I like what I see.
Wrap the edges of the glass with tape so as not to mark on the quilt.
