I'm still feeling the glow - now at 7:15am. I had completed the top, but then realised that I had no idea how to finish it all off properly. The original intention was that I would have a crash-course lesson in quilting, but Karen was brilliant and just took it all on board and ironed/pinned/stitched away.... she did ask me how I had planned to quilt it, what I had envisioned...and as I left last night...she was about to trim it before adding the binding (?)...I just have to get through work today, then I can pick it up. (and yes, there will be a gift for her) She doesn't get many visitors any more, and all the stitching group from about 8 years ago have dropped away. She was one of the first cross-stitch internet friends I found - and at the time I discovered she lived about 3 blocks away. We've since moved, but I call and visit every other month - she's good for my sense of stash and fondling fabrics and floss....I get to play with her stuff and I get all inspired. It's a bit onesided on the inspiration at the moment - but she liked my quilt too...
(sorry if im rambling - still a blt sleepy...need to get organised for work - hugs)
