Had to mail some letters today so I took my blocks to PO to have them weighted just to make sure the guy in Dodgeville wasn't trying to screw BRT around. Well sure enough the extra postage was right. I weighted each of my blocks when I got home just to see how much they weighted. Most weighted from1/2 ozs to 3/4 oz. The cute little mouse weighted a full 1 oz. So I figured out that the more pieces a block has , the more the block will weight. It was surprising that some I thought would weight more didn't. So valuable lesson learned. If we are doing a multi piece block we sure do need to weight one to make sure how much it is so we can better calculate the right amount of postage for return so somebody doesn't get stuck with a big postage bill again. Also the same package I got mailed back to me would have cost $8.10 shipped from California. Wisconsin to Texas $7.50. Something to think about.
