I agree 100%........... You should be at the starting and finishing line. You might never get to see it again, life is short. My DD was suppose to run the Chicago Marathon this past year. After her brain injury who knows if she will ever be able to do it. Don't sew, don't go to LQS be on the sidelines and just enjoy the moment.
Yeah luckily this is "family" time with the sister. So I really am just there as a car companion for the 8 hour drive. :) It's kind their thing, and I do go for the starting of the race, but then with all the commotion etc, they are like, we'll call you to meet us when we're done.
