This is what I love about the South! The Bradford pear trees have been in blossom, the Cherry Blossom trees are in full bloom, Japanese Magnolia {tulip Tree} have bloomed, my peach trees have, daffodils too, and I even have a few buds on my roses. When I moved here from northern IL, it was Feb. There was a tulip tree and daffodils blooming in the yard of my new home. So, it is late coming this year. We should have been working our garden in Feb. To wet and cold this year. {yes, we have become wimps since moving here in '84} Although it is better than drought conditions!
I took that picture 4/20/09. This year my iris started blooming earlier in the week. We have been planting the garden, but looks like I need to be weeding my flower beds!

This is the same plant, it will bloom earlier this year.

These are in the front, shady most of the time.

3rd bloom already on this iris, and a large yellow one ready to bloom soon.
