I also wash mine in the kitchen sink. Put in a few drops of laundry detergent and let them soak for a while. I dip out a glassful of the water and hold it up to the window to see if any dyes have run. If not, empty soapy water, fill back up with rinse water, swish 'em, then lay out a big bath towel on the floor and layer the fq's on it. Roll it up and squeeze the excess water out. I let them air dry to "almost" dry and then press with steam. I can get them looking almost brand new by putting a few drops of white vinegar in the water for the iron.
