My mom had an old quilt that her grandmother made. We were very poor when we were little and when my mom had my second brother, she cried when she had to cut it in half so both boys would have a blanket. I remember my grandmother telling her that it was alright, that her grandmother would be proud that she made something that kept her great grandsons warm. I was pretty little when this happened but it left a mark. Time went by and life happened I had three children of my own and one day, things fell into place and I got a part time job at a fabric store. I made my first "Quilt in a Day" pillow. More time passed and, I found myself unemployed a year ago January. I started quilting, got hooked, found fabric at the Goodwill, my youngest son bought me an $89.00 sewing machine and I haven't stopped. I love it so much.
