My fat qtrs (or any small pc of fabric)go into a lingerare bag and my larger pieces I throw in the washer on hot water with a color catcher. My fabric always comes out nice and I have never starched anything. Sorry gals, I am a snob, but only buy quilt shop quality fabric.
