It has a place where my fingernail can go through and is most importantly, comfortable. I also use the little stick em leather pads (can't think of the name of them, sorry), they stick to your finger.
Oh yes I end up wearing a hole in my nail as well and then have to put aside my hand quilting until the nail grows out again.
