This fun cloth book was SO much fun to make for my 2 year old granddaughter (from a Simplicity pattern). Each page teaches a skill like unbuttening the flowers, unzipping the corn or tying the shoe, or an activity like finding the dog in the doghouse, finding the bird eggs under in the nest, ringing the bell in the cat's bow, flapping the butterfly wings or playing peek-a-boo with the hands and face. I used batting inside each page to make it extra soft and sturdy. All the fabrics, except the sparkly butterfly wings, came from my stash! I even had some bright yellow gingham for the corn (under the zippered husk) from something I'd made for my daughter when she was a baby.
