I am new to quilting but has sewn since I was 9. So far I am only used to doing the quilts that you buy the whole thing in one piece, then the batting and then the top. I have been struggling to put it together. I saw a CD on basting and I think now I can get it done. I have bought several pieces of Alabama material in hopes of making my own Alabama Quilt. If I can quilt like I can sew, I should do well. Just got to get my feet wet.
