Thats right - it is paper pieced, granmothers flower garden (ish) true Grandmothers Flower garden has paths between the 'rossettes' (I believe!!) the next one I am working on is a true GFG!

So - I tack (baste) the fabric shapes over an exact hexagon shaped piece of paper then when I have enough for a 'rossette' I stich them together by tiny oversewing stitches on each seam. I find it very relaxing - great for taking with me on journeys and to waiting rooms etc....

I made my frst quilt top using this technique when I was 9!!! This one took me from age 18 - to 35 the next one will take me form about 35 to maybe 45.......

I made dozens of cushions too - over the years and a few baby cot quilts!!
