With the stuff you do you could do this with one hand tied behind your back! It isn't really curves much. You can sew the dresdens down with a zigzag around the edge if you don't want to turn the edge under. I like to use a herringbone embroidery stitch and I do it by hand. It is easy to do!!!

I also sometimes baste the edge under on each blade before joining them together and then I just put it under my sewing machine needle and sew it down onto the background! Easy!
