It does take practice. I am getting ready to bind two quilts that I have machine quilted. It was fun doing these, and they sure went faster than hand quilting. I still like hand quilting and will continue to do it, but it is neat to see the project done a lot faster.
I use a viking lily 550, and so far have only done crib quilts and table runners and placemats. I do want to try a twin size quilt on this machine though
