I have been reading the message board for awhile. I have been peicing quilts for several years. My sister Barb_mo taught me how to make quilts. I told her I wanted to make a quilt but didn't want to do those littles squares. She helped me make a bargello for my daughter..It had some little pieces. Of couse we strip pieced so that helped. I thought I could do anything after that but wasn't very brave. I didn't make make half square triangles for about 4 years..I used triangles on a roll for a long time. I'm still pretty much a strip piecer. I admire all the beautiful quilts on this site.
