My group has made 6 quilts and sent them off. You dont get much feedback is the only problem. You do have to sent the quilt to a longarm person who does it for free. So lots of sending out and back costs.
We finally contacted the Veterans organization here in Phoenix and gave our last quilt to a wounded soldier who lives locally.
He was wonderful, it was great to meet him and give him a quilt.
We made sure he wanted to meet with us as some do not.
But we like giving to wounded from our state.
