My sewing room door never gets closed except when we have company. Neighbors don't count as company. We have only one cat. We got him from the animal shelter when he was about 1 1/2 years old. If I ever shut the door when I was in there, I'm sure he'd sit outside the door and cry until he got let in. He likes the sewing room because there is a tree right outside the window. He likes to watch the squirrels and birds. At five years old, he rarely bothers my thread. He used to try to catch the needle when I sewed. Now, the only problem is wanting to lie on a quilt when I'm quilting it. All my quilting is done on the machine.
