Yes, my friend, Cindy and I are involved in the Quilts of Valor. Cindy has made and sent 20, I am working on #44. She makes two a month, I make one a week.

Cindy has talked to and received mail from an injured nurse. She told Cindy the reason so many of the recipients do not contact the maker is because they do not want to answer questions about how they were injured and about their injuried.

I have heard from family members only. I would love to hear from more and believe that eventually I will near from more. However, I also believe the injured's job is to get well and I just hope the quilts help in some way for them to achieve this knowing we care.

Incidentally, if you go to QOVF.org, you will learn that there are almost 70,000 injured so bady that they cannot return to combat and so far, only 15,000 quilts have been distributed.

Please help. It really is rewarding work. "Support Our Troops!"
