Thank you! I also am amazed how pretty they are when they come out finished!! Linda's method works even for me.

No, I don't think harder, just perhaps a bit different.

I think the DJ blocks might be intended for machine piecing, but someone might be able to set me straight on that. Most I've heard of have been machine pieced, but of course one can hand-stitch anything. And some of the blocks have applique of course.

The QDs are generally traditional square quilt blocks which have been skewed into diamond shape, and can be any size at all. I like the 4"x7". The patterns can either be set up in EQ and printed out, or hand traced or run through copier from the books.
I do know that some people have machine pieced them, but I wanted to do the quilt like Linda did hers, as I had not done hand piecing before. I guess her charming manner captured my fancy!

I have changed my modus operandi since learning the QD method - anything tiny or curved, I do it by hand!
