My grandson made a bunch of these from blue jeans. I used one on my walker and it was great to have so many pockets to put things in.
We did them at a workshop he conducted for his Eagle Scout award.
Here's how they were done:
Cut off legs just below the crotch line. Turn jeans wrong side out and sew across the bottom.
Work buttonholes on each side of the front waist band.
Make straps from one of the jean legs. (We sewed them right sides together and then turned them, but one could do them as "raw edge" finish and it would be much easier.)
Sew straps to back, approximately in line with the buttons.
Button the bag to your walker and off you go. I'm attaching a picture of the finished product. We did like men's & boy's jeans the best--The women's lower cut jeans didn't have enough pockets and did not make a very deep bag.
