I have hand tied many quilts using either coordinating or contrasting crochet cotton. It is strong and pretty. I cut the ends at about 3/4 inch. It wears very well if knotted about 4 inches apart. I have also machine quilted on my home sewing machine and have hand quilted a few quilts.
