I save everything -- cut off threads, small/tiny scraps, batting fluff. I have a special 'garbage can' (lined with a grocery bag) for these bits I don't want. When the bag gets full I donate it to a local group that makes pet beds for an animal shelter -- they use it for stuffing! It feels great having absolutely no quilting waste :)
