That's a brilliant idea Darlene! I don't use a lot of oil, so I do keep it in the fridge. Then it's a pain when I want to use some, I have to wait for it to come to room temp first! Leaving a small bottle on the counter - one of those - "Duh! Why didn't I think of that?" moments!! :D
Oh, and I agree, it should NOT smell rancid! :thumbdown:
