I got a 6' table from Lowes for Christmas. Metal, lightweight, foldable legs. The legs are table height so I can easily sew my large projects on it.
Hubby cut ?1"? pvc pipe in a length to bring the table just above (maybe 2") my waistline. He put caps on so it doesn't cut the carpet and the table slides easily when I want it to.
Then, I took my extra ironing board and reconstructed it underneath to bring it up to the same height. It took some rigging but I won. I was down to 15 minute increments before the adjustment, killed my back and neck!!!!
