Follow the link to wingrider's suggesstion. You don't even have to use a rulerinside teh fabric once you get the hang of it you can eyeball it.
I didn't even know this video existed when I did mine. I fold all my fabric half the width and the length to fit two rows in my drawers with the fold facing out. Looks nice and neat.
I sorted by colors: reds/dark reds; pinks/dark pinks; greens/dark greens; etc. Each color has its own drawer. Even the whites, tans and blacks. I have another drawer for the multicolored where no one color is more powerful. As soon as able, I will start another drawer for holiday fabric.
