My mother-in-law and brother-in-law both had kidney transplants also. Their quality of life was improved greatly, as was my late husband's. His donated kidney was still working fine when he died from other problems. I do believe everyone has to make that choice for themselves, and I respect whatever that choice is. I do know that many, many people die every day waiting for a transplant, and that is a shame.
