I have not heard of anyone making a quilt from a wedding dress, but I do know people donate their gowns for other reasons. My mom donated her wedding dress and the brides maids dress to the Polish church that she not only attended, but was married. The ladies then made outfits for the Infant of Parouge (spelling?) and added the various color of the particular Holy Day that would cause the infant's outfit to be changed. I would have loved to have seen that, but unfortunately the church was ultimately closed as the neighborhood closed.. Sure wish I had the confidence and the strength of faith to do something like that.
