    1-February-2014 BOM Directions & Discussion.

    Hello Everyone,

Here they are, the two blocks that we promised to post for February, to catch us up for the BOM for 2014. The theme for this year is Squares & Rectangles. We are starting with two fairly simple block patterns to get everyone started. These blocks will go together really well.

    Block #!

    Block #2

Enjoy making your first blocks & be sure to share your photo's with all of us. We love to see what everyone else is making & sharing our idea's together. Start those machines & lets get going!!

Nice blocks, and I think I have all the pieces precut in my scrap bins!! Just have to decide on a color scheme.

I am going to try this BOM. I wan't going to but these two blocks are so nice I can't help myself. I just have to decide what colors I am going to use. Sigh...Sulabug you are just too talented and kind to do this for us. Thanks.

Good to hear from you too. We will be waiting to see what you will pick out for your 2014 BOM selection. This is so exciting & I can hardly wait to see what everyone picks for their fabric's.

This BOM might be easy enough that I can do it! So excited to try to participate. Are we making blocks from scraps or is there some place that lists fabric requirements?

Do you have a set date to post the patterns or do we just keep checking back for them? I don't want to miss any.

quiltingnd.............You can decide on what fabric's that you want to use for your blocks. Some of us are using scraps & some are using a certain color scheme. It is totally up to you, so you won't find any fabric requirements posted for the Block of the Month of 2014. Just run with it & have the most fun that you can. Welcome to the BOM for 2014. We will all be anxious to see your blocks as you get them made.

ok i think i can do this one - got sidetracked last year - my question is my sister bought me a fat quarter selection of 12 fabrics. love the colors (black, gray, yellow and white) will that be enough to finish them. or would i have to probably buy some solid to finish? i am assuming all the blocks will be the same size through the year, right?

Sulabug: If you don't mind I would like to join in the fun. Always learn so much from others design options!
