    Dettonlisas,
Oh YES!! Please join us in making these 2010 BOM projects. It's so nice, because we are making them for ourselves & there is no deadline as to when you need to get them finished. Just take your time, but be sure to shar when you are finished.

SulaBug, this was a really fun block to make -- thank you for suggesting it!!!!!
Wow and double wow! As much as I love batiks, somehow the idea to use them in the sunflower block never occurred...I must have been sleeping!

OK, so I did the BOM for Feb first. It just seemed easier (I'm a beginner quilter).
I finally got it together enough to do the Jan BOM. I used colors I wanted to use and I liked it enough......

But it didn't match the colors in my Feb one, and since I want to make a quilt out of all the blocks when I'm done, I want them to be somewhat alike in coloring.....
So I did it in new colors. I love this one.

I found the directions to this block to be very difficult. I'm a real visual person (and did I mention I'm a beginner???) so I had some issues. Once I figured it out I was fine. Along with the tutorial for the Jan block that was posted (thank you!).

I'm also posting a picture of the 2 blocks together.

    Original block

New block that matches my Feb fabric choices
