All your blocks are beautiful. They all look so bright and cheery. Thats what we need this time of year.

My sample version.. I wanted to see how hard this was and for me it wasnt simple at all. I went for members online who are viewing this for help and thankfully (very thankfully) I got some assistance in the cutting part. The instructions were not as clear as I needed having never put a block ontop of another and cut back the underside.. was clueless how to do this and why we would do this over piecing a triangle to the end.. I tore out more seams than I care to mention. I think, I failed. The colors are purely from my scrap bag and not what I would chose.. now what the heck do I do with this block? tablemat stuff maybe? I am praying next month is oh so much more my speed! Maybe someone can do a tutorial on exact cutting and piecing on this one.. (dream I can dream) the colors show better in the second photo ..

The block looks good! I actually love the colors, depending on your level, is whether you need more than what they give, I think some of the sites think that if you are looking to do your own thing that you know how to do it,

elisabrat, your block looks gorgeous! Are you saying that you layered your stars on top of each other? And then cut the excess fabric off the back? That does sound difficult. I think i will paperpiece my block, that's easiest for me :)
