I'm a traditional quilter and like the old tried and true block patterns. With all these different blocks we've had I thought something scrappy would be a good block to use up all the extra fabric pieces we have. I've decided on the log cabin (it's my favorite). Quilters Cache has 2 versions for a 12 inch block. Pick either one you want or try your own as there are many variations to this block. Let's go SCRAP HAPPY. Here they are.

Debbie,
I love traditional blocks also. Great choice. My challenge will be to make the log cabin in my pinks using darks and lights. I wonder if I have enough pink choices! Oh, you said scraps. Hmm. Well, It could work. Off to look at my pinks!
P.S. How is your husband? How are you doing?

I had already picked my block before all this happened. I knew it was my turn and I couldn't let you guys down. Hubby was supposed to leave CCU yesterday but fluid has developed in his lungs so they are keeping him awhile longer. Thanks to all who sent prayers and well wishes, I do appreciate it.

Debbie,
So sorry to read just now that your husband is in CCU. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with things going on here, so hard to type still that I've been rather in doldrums.
I will add you both to my daily prayers and hope to hear that all is going well for you both soon. God Bless!
Hugs,
Sharon

Deb, we would have understood your not getting to this. I know we all are very close and a vital part of each others lives and this goes to prove it. Thank you for thinking of us in your difficult times. We are all truly thankful for each other and our hearts are with you and your husband. I will make my block when I get home from visiting my mother. I will be thinking of you and Jim and my mother while I am making it. Love......

I have never made a log cabin block, I've just never got around to it. I like the looks, so I am off to pick a color. I have blue on the brain, but may or not
I am praying for a recovery for your husband. Close your eyes and wrap your arms around yourself and feel the love flow from all of us
