BOM April 15th - Applique Tulip - The Photos
#73
Finally finished, my first attempt at applique and I used needle turn so I didn't have to go to the store. I had freezer paper in the kitchen.
I did have a problem when I got to the end of the last piece with some puckering but it is not too noticable after ironing. Now to learn to get pointy points and smooth curves.
It was fun, now I'm working on the bee's for the March BOM.

Hey, Lisa, Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of appliqué! I've been rassling with curves and points for seemingly ages, and I have noticed that curves turned on a bias edge are usually the smooth ones.
My points are still evolving!

This tulip was fun. I enjoyed picking out my fabrics. I wish I had remember to put paper behind it though because I've a little wave in the edges in area. It was one of the quickest of them.
I like the fabric combonation.
