I am trying to get ahead a bit, because I have a friend coming to stay for a couple of weeks in February, and I don't want to get behind while she is here!

Sheree - can you dab a bit of water on the material and see if the holes disappear as the water dries? Have you starched your material? I was thinking it may be that the starch is holding the fabric so tightly it can't relax and thus the holes would stick around. Just a thought.
Tomorrow I'm calling my LQS to find out where the heck my background fabric is! I'm going loony waiting for it!
