Block # 27
1. dark T # 19 cut a strip 1-1/2" x 6-1/2" then every 1-1/2" to get four 1-1/2" squares.
2. light T # 19. repeat step 1.
3.dark T # 3 Cut two 2-7/8" squares then in half diagonally.
4.light T # 13 cut three strips 1-7/8" x 8-1/2" then every 1-7/8"on each strip to get TWELVE 1-7/8" squares.
Mark 8 of these squares with a line diagonally set aside.
Take the remaining 4 squares and cut them in half diagonally-set aside.
5. dark T # 13 cut two strips 1-7/8" x 8-1/2" then every 1-7/8" on each strip to get Eight 1-7/8" squares.
Take the 8 light and 8 dark from steps 4 & 5 and place them right sides facing-
sew a scant 1/4" seam on both sides of the marked line.
Cut on the marked line. Press to set the seam-open-press again.

NOTE: I would round up the sixteenth fraction to the next eigth to make these a tiny bit bigger.
Block # 28
1. med T # 38 cut two 2-1/16" squares then in half diagonally
2. dark T # 38 cut 2 strips 2-1/16" x 6-3/4" then every 2-1/16" to get six 2-1/16" squares then in half diagonally.
3. med T # 33 cut two 3-5/16 squares then in half diagonally
4. dark T # 34 cut a strip 1-/11/16" x 7-1/4" then every 1-11/16 to get four 1-11/16" squares.
5. med T # 34 cut a strip 1-11/16 x 9-1/4" then every 1-11/16" to get five 1-11/16" squares.
