    i never bothered to look at the quilterscache instructions because i don't need them. i've made this block before. if you look closely, you'll see that the diagrams for the 12-inch version i posted do use the half-snowballs and the "bright hopesish" center.

    and yes ... it is much simper.

    I have finally finished my February BOM!! :D YEAH!! Remember, I am using Christmas faric for mine. Hopefully I will have a quilt for the holidays, when we are all done.

    Does anyone have any tips on estimating fabric needed to make a quilt from these blocks? I love this block and can see it in two strong colors for the links. I want to make sure that I have enough fabric .... because I can ALWAYS go shopping!! :D
