I'm doing all my block's in green fabrics.
Just a note of caution if you are using the quilting diagram for queen size quilt as it's pictured in the book. Be sure to look at the 2nd column of blocks, look at the top and the bottom blocks in that row they are #41, they are half blocks, also 4th column # 90, 6th column is # 73, 8th column is # 23. I hope I explained this for everyone.
Very pretty blocks Honchey, I really like them. Hope to see more today.

Aimee is in progress. For the near future all of my blocks are going to be red, yellow, blue. The center square is vintage fabric, the rest is new. Each block will have a mix of old and new fabrics.

Oh boy! Very pretty! Had an unexpected, but positive life event, so I haven't gotten very far. Got Addie started, but haven't gotten very far with her. I can't wait to see everyone's blocks, and hopefully I'll catch up pretty soon. I'm trying to do a little every night.

Honchey, love that blue and red "berry and dot" print; it looks so fresh!

grannyQ, I like your green theme; can't wait to see more squares added.

Ohhh pretty blocks! Had to check in and see them (even though I am working). Should have one to post later this evening. I have worked on it last night but need to take it apart a little bit to fix a piece. Can't wait to work on them some more!

All the blocks are terrific! Cookie, I love the fussy-cut little girl. Her name must be Addie, right? GrannyQ, the green blocks are going to make an awesome quilt. And, JanRN, your color selection for Aimee made it look like a completely different block from the others -- it's really pretty. Here are my Addie and Aimee:

Have a question.. Should I remove the paper before I post the photo? I wasn't sure when is the right time to remove them. Sound like a beginner don't I?

Pam--I leave my paper on until I am ready to start assembling my blocks. It keeps them from stretching/getting out of shape since we are taking a year to get them all done...

Thank you Carriem, I wondered about how they would hold up for a year, although I have a notebook set up to hold them (thanks QuiltingNinaSue). They just don't seem to lay as flat as those I am seeing in the photos. I will post pictures later today.

Pam P , I remove my pp paper in the seams that need to lay flat or open and get pressed down flat. Hope that helps you. Do not worry about pp in the corners because Carol Doan does not, it will wash out later.

I'm hoping I can finish one up tonight, but we'll see... Really wanted to finish a baby quilt before I started this (my adorable nephew George was born just a few days ago), but seeing these pics is inspiring me. I'm partway through quilting George's quilt. Maybe I'll take a bit of a break at some point tonight and pull out my backup machine to work on this, so I don't have to change the setup of my quilting machine. Funny, to say I'm taking a break from quilting, to work on quilting. Ha ha...
