What wonderful memories for both generations of the Grands!
Did you sell the other calf? Or a 4-H Loaner?
Honchey and JeanieG ... being that the two of you were on the Yahoo group ... I hope you left a message for the others to come on over and join us ... and how to find us! Will this mean that Laurie might drop by some now? Wouldn't that be nice?

As far as I know it's not announced yet by Laurie. I'm a member of the Yahoo group too. A few weeks ago she said she was too busy to continue with the Pony Club and another member of the group took over.

What a wonderful compliment to have this group recommended, just goes to show what fun we have and we actually finish our quilts. Maybe not everyone can commit to 2 blocks per week but there is always encouragement to keep going and not give up. And the cooking is not bad either QNS

What an upgrade from our covered wagons we started with ... and the smoky campfires in the evenings!

Anyone have some fresh asparagus to share yet? Steamed asparagus with just a touch of butter, mmm, delicious!
No QE both were heifers sold, not loaners. GS picked out his first 4-H heifer; now has to talk to Gramps about financial arrangements!!

Picked up a new product yesterday from the cracker aisle..leading cracker company now makes "Crackerfuls" with; Peanut butter & chocolate. Mmmmm....good. But then I have been "snacking out" on Soft & chewy Dutch Cocoa Cookies with too much stress caused by Irish dh and my weight has sprung back up too far. Time for more quilting and less snacking...I hope.
Like Grandma told me, I grew up and then "out". The scales love me. Doctor will not. Pass those 'tators, again. With sour cream and real butter. Pizza every night might contribute, too. Life is too short not to enjoy it along the way.

Oksewglad...this is only the second year for my asparagus so we've had not big feasts but we do rob a big spear once in awhile and eat it raw! My DH didn't like asparagus until he tried it that way.
QNSue...we've been hit by a couple of frosts which slowed the peas and potatoes down but I did cover the strawberries and the first ones are starting to turn pink. I planted them last spring and got just enough ripe ones to know that they will be tasty!
Honchey...a real tribute to your leadership that this group is now the official Working Pony Club site. Thanks for keeping us in line and heading the right direction.
All partners...thanks for choosing this ride! You have no idea how much I enjoy your craft, wisdom, and banter!
