Rain or shine, many I know start the morning with a cup of coffee (or hot tea, cocoa) and the there is a rambling road that gathers no moss (unless they ramble through Hartford where the Moss sisters and brother live across the road from us) Roll on wagon wheels, roll on.

QNS I love those blocks!! You're choice of fabrics always makes me smile. And the fussy cutting--wow!! Great job.

Here are mine:

QNSue..your blocks looked so different I had to look to make sure I was at the same week. Your fabric tells a story every time.
JanR...How do you decide which quilting design to use on each block? I'm a little intimidated by that but don't want stippling all of the time. I'm using the Baptist Fan right now on my DGD quilt and like it a lot but I know I will get tired of that too.

Ggal, I love your blocks but especially the dark florals in Rambling Roads. Great job on both.
Hmm, quilting designs. I just look at the block and then wing it. I always hand quilted and each block had it's own quilting. I can't get used to all-over quilting on a quilt (just me, it's actually quite lovely when done well--no offense meant to anyone who does all-over quilting). I have a lot of templates that I use or use parts of them. I have a box with old CDs, heart shaped boxes, leaves, plastic plates in various sizes, etc., and I use those to trace around. I read somewhere that if the block has lots of squares or angles, the quilting should be round or swirly. I don't follow that--I just do what I like and what the block "says". Not much of an answer, right LOL????

QNS--You always use such fun fabrics and great fussy cutting!

Jan--I really like the pink (purple?) background fabric in RR and your quilting in RorS gives the block a curved look...like it!

Ggal--You have some "Carrie color" fabrics. I have always like paisleys too! Great job!

QNS - love the story behind your blocks. So much fun to see what you come up with each week. Jan - Great contrast in your blocks. Love the quilting you are doing too. GGal - I'm with Carrie on your paisley - I love paisley too, great fabric choice. My blocks are cut out, but I won't get them sewn this week. We are going on a trip, so hopefully will get them sewn when I get home next week.

QNS - Your fabric choices are so youthful. They make me think they were made by someone in their late 20's or early 30's. Your youthful heart is showin' through.
Jan - That pink took me by surprise, yet I think it will really look great in your quilt. Your Rain or Shine block is classy. Your quiltin' is makin' me rethink my plan ta SID. I wanted the piecin' ta be the focus. Your quiltin' is just wonderful.
GG - I think that Carrie rubbed off on ya last week! Your blocks are just about perfect.

As always, Ladies, you never fail to please!
Such a variety in colours, fabrics and placement choices, that ITA one starts to wonder if they are really the same blocks ... or subs!

JanRN ... I'm wanting to do more of my own machine quilting, so one of these times you'll have to show us your magical box of supplies you use!
