Block # 41 Friendship Star
1. Dark T # 1 Cut a 2-1/2" square.
2. Light T # 1 Cut a strip 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" then every 2-1/2" to get four 2-1/2" squares.
3. Light T # 3 Cut two 2-7/8" squares Mark a line diagonally (corner to corner) set aside.
4. Dark T # 3 Cut two 2-7/8 " squares
Take a square from step 3 and place it right sides together with a square from step 4.
Sew a scant 1/4"seam on both sides of the marked line. then cut on marked line to get
the 4 HST's needed.
Refer to the book for the block assembly.

Block # 42 Fruit Basket
Note: There"s lots of bias sides in this block so Please Starch before cutting.
Note: There is rounding up to the next fraction where noted. ie: (ru)
1. Light T # 46 Cut a strip 1-3/4" (ru) x 5-5/16"-- use template to cut the angle.
2. Light T # 46R Repeat step 1 using the correct template.
3. Light T # 38 cut a strip 2-1/8" (ru) x 9" then every 2-1/8" then in half diagonally. set one triangle aside.
4. Dark T # 38 cut 2 strips 2-1/8" (ru) x 7" then every 2-1/8" then in half diagonally. You need 5 squares to get the 10 triangles.
5. Med T # 38 Cut two 2-1/8" squares then in half diagonally--set one triangle aside.
6. Light T # 34 Cut two 1-3/4" (ru) squares.
7. Light T # 33 Cut a square 3-5/16" then in half diagonally. set one triangle aside.
8. Dark T # 33 Repeat step # 7.
9.Light T # 47 Cut a 2-5/8" (ru) square then in half diagonally.
