It's really a lot easier than it looks. And it's a lot easier than last month's. You can do it. I know you can.

It is paperpieced. Please read through the discussion thread where we are talking about how to do it. It's not as hard as it looks.

lol, lol... I just printed mine out and was like... What? I was thinking that the three that printed out were the same star block and couldn't figure out how they went together!! Silly me... there are three different stars!! So to do the Alaska star, I need four print outs of the template! And did you say any of the three were ok to use??

Use what you want, but as a group we'll be doing the Alaska Star so most discussion and information will be about that one. Please read the discussion pages as you do need to cut that pattern in half diagonally and add a seam allowance where you cut it. I haven't looked at the other stars so don't know if the same applies there.

Ok, I plan on doing the Alaska block too. It just looks sooooooooo scary! I will be looking in to see any problems any are having, if any. Thanks for the vote of confidence! ;)

Yes I was figuring out the template problem I was seeing,.. needing to cut the block and add seam allowance to make it 6 1/2" when completed... :) I must be grasping something here lol

Seymoore & Jerrie, Both are beautiful stars!! It looks to me like it's going to be a challenge where all the seams come together. And I wonder if I can get all four corners cut without forgetting to put in that center seam. :)
