colors are much brighter in person. reds, yellow, greens. best pic i can get with my phone. :roll:

All of the blocks look completely different! That's what I like most about quilting - you can follow a pattern and make it your own by your color choices and placement. And nobody's quilt is exactly the same. It's your quilt! (o.k., I'm done...)

Oooh! I just fell in love with this block. It seems to be destiny since I live in Idaho. :lol: I think I'm going to try a few scrappy blocks and see how it looks that way. However, to go with the batiks from all the BOM's here, I made my first block out of a gorgeous red batik that I absolutely love. Interestingly enough, my unfinished square ended up 12.25" sq. instead of 12.5" square. What the heck!?! Now I'm going to have to measure each unit and try to discover what went wrong. :roll: Did anyone else have this problem?

Actually, I really like yours and I was thinking that with the center block the secondary color, it would make for a wonderful boy's quilt, or more specifically my grandson. Add in your color choices and I think you did an amazing job for your first block!

Must not be close to Boise State LOL David is a BIG FAN was born and raised in Mackay.
