i've always wondered how people manage on the road with a machine. last year DH and i did a road trip to memphis and all the cats came with us. i just loved being on the road like that and have mentioned a few times that i'd like to get an RV. i always get depressed when i can't sew. i've been sewing 6 days a week every week for the last 8 years. We have an RV... we call them campers, and we plan on taking our one cat with us when we go away. Quite a few people do take cats, surprisingly. Hubby is still finishing the inside so we haven't used it yet. |

And hubby has just informed me that his mum does indeed have an old cast iron iron that sits on the coal range to heat up! LOL
|
For those with out electric the cast iron sounds great. We work at a mission station in northern Canada where I used an iron that was heat by white gas. Very noisy and I only used when I had to. I would think there could be one made to work off those little, three inch, propane cyler. Then it could also be used in the car.
