Hey Rachel...here are a few I found.
http://cgi.ebay.com/40-Juicy-Orange-...item1c13479cdd http://cgi.ebay.com/ORANGE-ORBIT-36-...item5193774d32 And FQ bundles http://cgi.ebay.com/Fat-Quarters-Bun...item255b12f9e6 These don't look too bad either http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-ORANGE-AND-W...item35aa2356a1 http://cgi.ebay.com/lot-8-Fat-Quarte...item20afceca91 Well, you get the idea...there are quite a few on there fairly inexpensive. Good luck! |
Ooooh nice finds Pat!! The last one is the perfect coloring!! I also really like the colors in the first one, but I think 4x4 squares may be too small :( Yay!! Looks like I will be able to find all that I need if I poke around enough. :) :)
Cheers! Rachel |
The 4" squares might be too small unless there are some dups in the package. If there are..then they would work too. There are some blocks that take very little to make...you'll see. Oh...and I thought that maybe you could contact the seller and see if they could cut into FQ's for you....they might.....
But, there did look like there were some good ones in there..I think there were about 4 pages this morning when I searched for "Orange Fat Quarter bundles". |

Here are the M-11 blocks I made last night :) This wasn't too hard, but I learned a lot about lining up diamond corners. LOL
Rachel |
Very nice Rachel, both blocks, but I like the orange the most

Rachel you are very brave to do two, there are quite a few doing two and I take my hat off to you all.
Elle |
Oh gosh...how hard did you have to fiddle with that orange to get those little stars in the center of the center row of diamonds Rachel??? Those look great and I'm with Elle....my hat if off and I'm bowing down to all of you doing 2 Janes at once....you are either very brave or...well...

I'm ready Lace.

http://www.twiddletails.com/store/in...age=page&id=21 I adore pping this way because I never ever get an angle wrong, and I have very little fabric waste because I do not have to cut my pieces too big. This is because the next piece you are sewing is actually folded back, so you can easily line everything up, whereas with regular pp, you kind of put the pieces of fabric down with a wing and a prayer and hope you have the angle and centering right. LOL Maybe I'll make up my own tute one of these days too. But if you have never tried it, you should give it a shot for one of your blocks. Oh if you give it a try, I don't bother pre-scoring the lines and I have never had trouble with folding back, saves a lot of time that way. And as far as doing two at once, I certainly am not brave, so I must be the other thing .... hehehe   Cheers! Rachel |
I fold my paper back when pp'ing too Rachel...I agree with you about the lack of waste and lining things up better. It usually works everytime for me...if I'm paying attention
Thanks for the link though! |

My wrist is much better. I should have sued the doctor but at the time I was with my ex and he didn't believe in it. My hubby now (much smarter man!) was unhappy that so much time had gone by and basically we couldn't do anything about it.

Jolo, that is wonderful news for both you and your son. I hope he continues to do well and the next round of chemo goes as smoothly. |
So glad to hear your wrist is more comfortable, haven't ever heard of anyone with an allergy to newsprint before, I suppose its better than an allergy to chocolate! If your dog has finally got the message about the tissues, perhaps it was worth the discomfort.
Don't worry about being at week 8, just keep going at these little blocks as often as you can. They don't do themselves, but its very rewarding when you get a handful done. Rome wasn't built in a day, after all. Has anyone seen anything from Esq recently? I haven't and I just hope she is OK. |
I have been wondering about Esq as well, but I know she has children so it could be she is just busy with holidays and stuff.

Elle :-D |
Tiff, don't worry about what week # you are on...just keep plugging when you can. Lesley's is good advice about that!
Just to let ya'll know...Esqmommy is just fine....she has quite a lot of "real" life happening right now with the kids getting out of school for the summer and all. I spoke with her on the phone the other day. Hopefully things will slow down a little bit soon and she will be able to spend time playing with us on the board again. |
My problem is that I'm not really sticking to the week #. I printed out a bunch of the past weeks, (you know, the ones I needed to catch up on) and I've been picking and choosing from the entire pile. If I'm in the mood to applique I do those. If I just want simple piecing I do those. I'm a mess as to where I really am. I have about 25 blocks done, so I guess that puts me back around Week 6. I'm not giving up, just going slowly. And hopefully in October I'll be able to catch up on a lot of them. I've got a five day quilt retreat I'm going to and the only thing I'm taking to work on is my Confetti Jane.

That is a really lovely name you have chosen for your DJ I like Confetti Jane, really pretty.
Elle |
So glad that Esq is OK and nothing untoward has befallen her!
I finished my Jane quilt top tonight! Yeah!!! If I can get a temporary sleeve on it tomorrow, I'll take a pic of it for you all. I still have to put the backing on, of course, so it isn't finished yet, but I'm not that far off now. Just needed to tell someone. Now I'm off to bed, its 12.50am. Night night all. |
Hey since my Jane is very scrappy how does Mixed up Jane sound for a name. I have been having a hard time thinking of a name to call her.

jolo....what about Confused Jane..did somebody already use Confetti Jane??...now I'll think about it some more. |
How about Falling Rainbow Jane, I´m in Bits Jane, Memories Jane - coz each scrap came from a special quilt that you made.
Elle |
Gosh I like them all gals. I will look at my blocks and the list and let you know which one I chose soon.

Well, here it is - just the top, mind, it doesn't have its backing on yet, nor the binding.
It's still a bit breezy here today, so I couldn't get a pic of it hanging straight, but I did my best. Plus it only has a temporary hanging sleeve pinned onto it, which is making it look frilly at the top. I've added a couple of other pics, one so you should be able to see that my plain tris are bigger because I used a wider sashing (they don't go down to a point as they would with the narrower sashing) The other one is so that you can see the scallops - I've quilted them at the base where they join on to the tris, but the rest of the quilting will be done when I add the backing. I have just basted the edges to keep them together. The whole thing Detail of tris where joined to sashing Detail with scallops added |
Lesley... All I have to say is WOW!!!
