This is only the second paper-pieced block I have ever done. I also was one little piece of "dark church" color short. So, I improvised. I may go back and add a bush or flower box over it. I am finished for tonight, though. I also chose to use a "night" sky. Overall, I am happy with it.

Here is my version of the Church. Instead of adding to both sides, I just added on the left and applique a tree next to the Church. That is how I remember the church we went in my childhood. There was a skinny Olive tree by the door of the Church.
My door is all scuptured as you can see and windows are stainglass. Had fun doing it.

Thanks! The symbols mean something to me: The "g" stands for God where the doorknob would be on the church door as He opens and closes all doors, the "thread" stands for God mending us together, the "mirror" stands for His word allowing us to see ourselves and strive to have His image.

I decided to use this swirl fabric that I had in each block, and the blue for the skys. I was thrilled to see the church first because I think it worked well for the windows. Not perfect but fun to do. now I only have to wait 30 days for the next block to be revealed.
