I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. I haven't even started mine yet, hopefully in a few days, but unless my DD camera is working I won't be able to show it.
Hmmm....I do have a scanner, would that work?

Well, I tried the scanner. Didn't show the material well. The first pics I did were also not to my liking.. I took the block outside and photographed it. No the flowers were fussy cut from a bigger print and sewed into a ribbon .Then it was added it on the bottom of the "hedges" Hedges was a strip of ruffles I cut off a (stained) placemat. The "stones were salvaged from an old blouse.

OK....so I went to my quilting class (yep...another one..LOL) at my LQS last night and she went over paper piecing with us. The project we are doing will require us to learn paper piecing, hand embroidery and applique so I'm really excited. Anyway....I worked all day on my church and have it all cut and everything. Now...do I remove the paper FIRST and then sew the parts together? And do I use a 1/4 inch seam or a "scant" 1/4 inch seam? I'm SOOOOO nervous!!

Don't remove the paper till you have it sewed together! Just a hint!

Tearing off the paper was such a stressful procedure.

Well, you did a great job. It's beautiful!

Qbee, leave the paper on until after you put the pieces together. When you put the pieces together be sure you match the sewing lines(paper lines)on each section. Don't ask me how I know this! I recommend sticking a pin in the corner of the pieces(front and back) to be sure they are lined up correctly.
