Wake up everybody, Its tomorrow! whoo whoo clang clang...

Siodach so pretty! Can't wait to see what you end up with. Do you know any info about the fabric you used here in the pictures? Manufacturer or number on the slevege? Have fun at the quilt show. I know you will enjoy your day!

Since I'm getting an early start, guess I'll bake a banana nut bread for the club car.

Waiting for the next clue, I'm making Impossible Pumpkin Pie, Chicken with Figs (from Wed NYTimes) and granola.

Ooooh I love those tiddlywinks quilts.

Those are beautiful Whitepine and Siodach!

Ready for the next clue and I think I'll go the the club car for banana bread and I'll be bringing apple fritters and a breakfast casserole.

Mmm, pumpkin pie!

Oh Blue, that breakfast casserole sounds sooo good. I'm going to go get some while we wait for Judy. She should be within the half hour. I just finished my last border and cut a back for my bat table runner. After having some of your casserole guess I'll go spray baste my topper and she should be here by then.

Week 3

Good morning! Today you will make 24 flying geese from A and D that will have an unfinished size of 2-1/2” by 4-1/2”. I use the flip and sew method. (If you use a geese ruler your strips may differ in width.)
From the A fabric, cut 24 pieces measuring 2-1/2” by 4-1/2”. (Don't be wasteful of A) From the D fabric, cut 48 pieces measuring 2-1/2” square. Mark a line from corner to corner on the back of the D fabric. My new favorite marking tool is the Frixion. Goes away with heat when you press. (There is also one you need to erase the line.) Placing a 2-1/2” square right sides together on one side of a rectangle, sew just a thread’s width away from the line, on the inner side of the line. Photo shows direction of the sewing. You will give yourself a tiny fraction of an inch to allow you to pull the D corner to the A corner of the rectangle without it stretching. . Hold the corners in place and gently press. Trim away the underside fabrics. Repeat with the other 23 A rectangles. Then, place a 2-1/2” square on the other corner of the D rectangle and repeat as before. Finish the same way as the other side.

From Fabrics B, C and D, cut 12 squares from each fabric, all measuring 2-1/2”. You will use these 24squares next week.

Yes, I know, you have fabric left over. You will use it next week. I know you have guesses as to where all this stuff, these little pieces, is going to end up. Hee hee. If I were a game show host, I’d call out “Show me what’s behind curtain number 4!” Well curtain 4 opens next week! It will all come together, I promise!
