PamH, Re your piano keys border, I think a simple cornerstone with one of the fabrics would also look great.

Judy, it would have been funny if you had said you like them all but one. We would have each thought it was ours! Or at least I would have. I love them all too. It is such a great pattern!

What about a four patch to match your block centers? |
I love how that all came together. Great job!
|
Lisa, I always added my borders last and used them as a separate item when i'd QAYG.
I'd quilt it seperatly, like hearts or roping or chains then attache it swperatly and it always came out great. go for it. two more weeks till the next one. YaHOO . Judy, any idea of what we'll need, or will we use it all. I've made more scraps. Doubled the quilt recipe here, and have more scrps than b4 I started. How is that??? |
Everyone's quilts are so pretty and so different. This has been a great lesson in color placement as well as a fun train ride.I finally got back to working on mine. It is going to be a bed size with 4x5 (20)blocks.
Sorry but I mailed Jolo's block without taking a picture. I think the blocks all play so well together! There is a lot of talent on this train! |
Finished Jolo's block. No camera unless I get to Jeannes house b4 it snows. it's a spool block, I love it. it has 4 aquas as the thread, emb with my name and addy and brown for the wood of the spool. I really like this block and think i'll do it for my sewing room wall.
also finished trimming my blocks, I counted 24 maybe 25, can't remember now. |

That might look nice. I am also considering a 4 patch since that's what the blocks started with.
