Your blocks are all beautiful. (Hope I didn't leave anyone out). I spent most of today putting on the little tulip outer petals and just pulled them all off as they didn't fit like I wanted them to AND I did a really stupid thing when tracing my pieces and used ink! Dumb, dumb dumb....I guess that wouldn't matter if my turn under was totally under, but it wasnt and you could see the ink line on some of the petals. So, I've re ironed the pieces and I'll try again tomorrow. Jane--I don't think I've seen any of your work before---It is so perfect from color selection down to your stitching . Thanks for the tip on your method. |
Love both colorations ofyour block.

Here's mine...I was on vacation last week and had planned to do all the embroidery on my finished 18 blocks. It didn't happen! Finished this one today.

Very pretty Roxanne - and if you didn't get all the embroidery done, you must have been enjoying yourself.
|
Lovely block Roxanne, really pretty and I love your colours.
The embroidery goes fairly quickly, it won´t take you long. |
Missed you Roxanne. Beautiful block.

Doesn't really matter Rox....its lovely to see it now! Beautiful. Glad you had fun on your trip.
|
Roxanne i love the colors!!!
|
wow...you've given us a whole lot of yum-yums, roxanne!
Is it just me...I'm so slow at the embroidering, bc I am afraid of rubbing off my chalk outline. Maybe I should mark a quarter or half and sew, and then mark the other side and sew, and I wouldn't be so afraid to scrunch it up. |

Mousie....I ran across a Frixom (sp?) pen the other day. You erase it with heat. You could try one of those. Its made by Pilot. (The funny thing is that after you heat it and make it go away, if you put it in the freezer...it will come back!) They are cool to use to mark with though. It wouldn't come off when you scrunch it up.
|
My Sewline white pencil doesn't come off Mousie - and I scrunch.

just asking...but you know me... LOL,...I'll be sure and keep meeceself out of the freezer! course, taking a quilt in there isn't a 'bad' idea...but I'm not big enough to open the door back up... mousie! - your talking out loud again!  |

I have been struggling with sinus infection/headaches and the lines are not gone, just hard to see  doc says I may have to go to an ENT and she's an internist! whatever it takes  I sure don't like it when stuff messes with my quilting. |

I have used my Sewline throughout this quilt, either with the yellow or white 'leads'. I found the lines fade a bit with scrunching in the hand, but I just went over them again if I needed to. I have a Sewline eraser to get rid if them if I draw a line in the wrong place, but mostly I just cover the lines either with the applique or the embroidery.
With all the leads I have, which includes the grey, I draw as lightly as I can and still see what I want to. If you press harder, it will be harder to remove. |
I'm not sure there is really a way to remove the lead from a regular lead pencil. I will sometimes use that when I'm going to cover it with the applique piece. But if any shows...it will show forever for me. You can try the eraser, but I've never been successful with it.

thanks everybody for the pen info.
Mine is "set" with heat, - permanently. The Frixon removes with heat, but not always permanently. oh my...I guess I will remark when necessary like Lace does. |

Oh...sorry Mousie...I probably paid a premium for mine as I picked it up at the check out at my LQS...

Just to let you all know, having problems here. Managed to toss my mouse in the air last night, landed on the marble floor and broke it, so I am mouseless. This internet connection is c**p so see you all tomorrow when I get myself sorted out, pass the message on to all my friends.
Thanks miss you all already. Elle x |
Oh Elle....juggling meeces again????? Oh no! You knew that eventually one would try a flying escape! I'm so sorry!
|
Yes Elle apparently there are problems getting into the microsoft site. According to the tech support at Antequera, over 1 week ago, they are working on it! Frustrating though! Hi Ladies hope you are all enjoying your day. Topaz-Spain
|
I am not miceless anymore, thank goodness for that. My mouse was like a bar of soap it flew into the air and landed on my unforgiving marble floor.
Thank goodnesss I can talk to you all again, I feel so cut off. One thing though I finished a whole block and started another, guess I am a chatterboc on here. :-D |
elle, maybe you need 3 sides on your mousepad...kind of like mine (in PDA's)...ok, so it has four sides, but it has a front door.
That is where your arm would go. gee, that gives me an uneasy visual, lol...of a human arm coming in my front door! |
Mousie you crack me up...
