I can understand why your scrolls are difficult on the 7" size they are teeny. I know Lesley did a 10" block size and so did I. Have you thought about doing reverse applique, might it be easier that way, just a thought.
I baste mine round the paper shape first, that helps me. |
I'm doing ten inch blocks, but wondered if tiny "gathering" stitches in some parts would help "suck the fabric/seam allowance under?"
Does that make any sense,...or would it be just as easy to use the fabric glue? |

Lynnie..I'm doing the 7"ers. I haven't found an "easy" way to do the scrolls. I think we just have to go very slowly and just barely have enough to turn under. Too much seam allowance causes me more of an issue than too little I think.

Great colors. Perfect stitching.

Oh geesh...I'm going to do this block next and only 1 has been posted so far??? Has anyone else done them but not posted yet?? I like to see your fabric choices. :)

Looks as though Lesley and yourself will be setting the benchmark for this block Patti.
We will all be watching with interest :-D |
Not this one Patti, but I am sure you will make a great choice, you have so far, go for it
